Mouse EDPI Calculator
YOUR EDPI
Calculate eDPI by entering your in-game sensitivity and mouse DPI above
What is eDPI?
eDPI stands for Effective Dots Per Inch. You can calculate it by multiplying your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity. It allows players to compare their true sensitivity, regardless of differences in hardware or software settings. This makes it easier to optimize controls for a more consistent gaming experience.
How to Calculate eDPI of Your Mouse?
To determine your eDPI, simply multiply your mouse sensitivity by your DPI. You can do this manually or use our tool and enter values from a game, such as Valorant, Fortnite, or CS 2. This helps ensure accuracy when adjusting your settings for better gameplay.
Why eDPI Matters in Gaming?
Comparing eDPI is a better way to evaluate sensitivity than just looking at individual DPI or in-game values. For example, if one player uses 0.350 sensitivity with an 800 DPI mouse, and another has 0.175 sensitivity with a 1600 DPI mouse, both players effectively cover the same distance for a 360-degree no-scope kill. Now let’s say you and your friend’s eDPI is 280, this means both of you will have the same experience despite different DPI or sensitivity settings.
What is the Best eDPI for You?
There is no universally best eDPI. It depends on what feels most comfortable to you. However, if you think your eDPI is too high or low, you can increase or decrease your settings based on the top players of the game you play to find the right balance. Games that require precise cursor movement often perform better with a lower eDPI, while those needing fast and big movements benefit from a higher eDPI.
